THE SHE IS A CEO FOUNDATION is pleased to announce its’ inaugural Girl Champion Awards Dinner honoring women CEOs and community leaders who have used their platforms to enrich the lives of girls and inspire our future CEOs. The dinner will take place Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Hotel ZaZa (Museum District) 5701 Main Street Houston, Texas 77005, from 6-9:30pm.
We are excited to announce that our keynote speaker and Corporate Girl Champion honoree is Thasunda Brown-Duckett, CEO of JP Morgan Chase Consumer Banking.
Other honorees include: Mayor Sylvester Turner, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Brian Busby (COO HISD), Courtney Johnson-Rose, First Lady Sheretta West and our highly anticipated “CEO to Watch” honoree, who will be revealed the night of the event.

Through its programs, the foundation believes it is able to build entrepreneurs one little girl at a time. Fundraising efforts and sponsorships from the awards dinner will allow 6-8th grade girls from Title I schools to participate in SHE IS A CEO programs free of charge. The foundation is currently fundraising for this academic year’s signature programs, including funding for over 300 girls to participate in full entrepreneurship academy, conference, and pitch competition where the top participants will receive $100-$500 in start-up seed money for their first small business.
