Houston Grand Opera presents Puccini’s classic love story La bohème at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands on May 22

What: Houston Grand Opera and The Wortham Foundation present Puccini’s enchanting La bohème, which tells the dramatic, heartbreaking story of a group of young, Parisian artists living life to the fullest until they are suddenly forced to confront their own mortality. This beloved opera, to be held at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on May 22, features current and former artists from the HGO Studio, the company’s prestigious young artist training program. With soaring music that many audience members will recognize, this famous tale is not to be missed. La bohème is considered appropriate for all ages.

Who: Katherine M. Carterdirects the outdoor performances, with HGO’s Richard Bado as conductor. Cast members featured in La bohème include Nardus Williams as Mimì, Yongzhao Yu as Rodolfo, Thomas Glass as Marcello, Yelena Dyachek as Musetta, Daniel Noyola as Colline, and Geoffrey Hahn as Schaunard.
