Own Every Piece and Project Row House hosted Community and Conversation, an informative and empowering conversation about contraceptive care. The event was in conjunction with Project Row House’s Round 50: Race, Health and Motherhood, curated by PRH’s Ryan N. Dennis, Round 50 addresses maternal mortality and its impact on women of color - specifically, Black women in Houston’s Third Ward community. In an intimate setting, Assistant Professor at UTHealth School of Public Health, Dr. Kim Baker, led the dynamic conversation that took an in-depth look at individuality as it pertains to contraceptive care and inspired women to own every piece of their lives including birth control.
