New US-290 HOV/HOT Lane Extension Opens

Beginning Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, commuters in Northwest Harris County can take advantage of a new seven-mile HOT/HOV lane extension on US-290.
The TxDOT project includes a new HOV/HOT Express Lane entrance and exit ramp located just east of Mason Road.
Drivers can enter the Express Lane from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. and exit the lane from 1 p.m until 8 p.m. on weekdays.
