View New Work by Visionary Artist Will Henry

In discussion with writer Garry Reece in his studio

Will Henry is a visionary artist based in Houston. VAA will visit his studio, which is rarely open to the public. He and arts writer Garry Reece will discuss the current works Henry is readying for his next exhibition, at the Galveston Arts Center in May. VAA members and guests will be the

first to see these new paintings.

The studio visit will be Saturday, Jan 4, 11:00 a.m., at Winter Street Studios, Studio 10, 2101 Winter St, Houston, TX 77007.

Will Henry says of his work, “The paintings have a strong sense of narrative and the landscape functions almost as a backdrop to the drama that unfolds. Growing up in a rural area the landscape really imprinted on my psyche and noticing a sense of sparseness of melancholy or loneliness.”

Visual Arts Alliance (VAA) is an educational organization for serious practitioners of the visual arts and interested members of the general public.
