On Monday July 22, 2019, Houston Mayoral candidate Derrick Broze will file his campaign paperwork with the Mayor's office and officially launch his campaign for Mayor of Houston. Derrick and supporters will arrive at City Hall at 8:30 am on Monday morning and head to the Mayor's office on the 3rd floor to file his paperwork. "It's time to make it clear to Houstonians, the local media, and the other mayoral candidates that I am serious about my attempt to radically transform the City of Houston," Broze said. "I will be filing my paperwork and joining in with several of the upcoming debates/forums to make sure the people we represent have their voices heard. It's time to imagine a different Houston."

Derrick Broze is the only candidate who wants to give away the power of the Mayor of Houston and amplify the voices of Houstonians. Derrick also wants to decriminalize Cannabis, initiate a moratorium on the 5g rollout, and put an end to surveillance in Houston. He is also the only candidate calling for ending the “anti-food sharing” ordinance and No-Knock raids by Houston Police. Derrick is also calling for localizing and decentralizing Houston’s food production by supporting community gardens and urban farms. Finally, Derrick is pledging to support freedom of speech and civil liberties, including standing against any calls for mandatory vaccinations in the City of Houston.
