Children's Museum Raises $87K+ in Golf Tournament

The Children's Museum of Houston hosted a triumphant afternoon of golf clubs, putting greens and scorecards at the 24th Annual Spring Golf Classic at Gus Wortham Park Golf Course.

Chaired by Bradley Bracewell and William Griffin, the tournament was an overall victory with $87,034 raised for the Museum’s free and reduced admissions programs, ensuring that no visitor is turned away due to financial constraints.

Nearly 100-players enjoyed a delicious catered lunch by Becks Prime before competing in a Florida-style scramble tournament.

Players had the opportunity to win a 2019 Lexus UX sponsored by Westside Lexus during a Hole-in-One challenge.

The fun-filled afternoon featured on-course Arnold Palmers and John Dalys provided by Deep Eddy Vodka and tacos for the after-party were provided by Berryhill Sugar Land.

First place winners were Jared Spain, Mikey Kruger, Ryan Mendez, Ricky Williams from Team NRG Energy.

Participants walked away with goodie bags filled with golf balls, tees and golf shirt.
