Shop, save money and save lives through the purchase of The Holiday Shopping Card, which takes place, October 24 – November 3, 2019. With the purchase of The Card for $75, shoppers receive a 20 percent discount at more than 550 participating retailers throughout the Greater Houston Area or free eats at participating restaurants. One hundred percent of The Card purchase benefits the American Cancer Society, providing much needed services such as transportation to and from treatment and cutting-edge research. Shoppers can purchase The Holiday Shopping Card online now at www.holidayshoppingcard.com or at participating area merchants in October.

Event co-chairs Leslie Rogers, Karen Peltz and Jennifer Friedmann are excited about this year’s event. In addition to long-time supporters including Bering’s Hardware, Elizabeth Anthony, Steelz for the Home, Kuhl-Linscomb, Tootsies, Vincent Ford Custom Apparel and Williams Sonoma, numerous new retailers are participating this year including Veronica Beard, Run On! By JackRabbit, Luxe Custom Collective, Manready Mercantile and Switch2Pure. And, new this year, Cardholders can save money on theatre tickets to performances at The Company OnStage and Theatre Suburbia. The 2019 Holiday Shopping Card honors the McNair family for their commitment to fighting cancer. Janice McNair and her late husband, Bob, co-chaired the American Cancer Society’s $30 million capital campaign for Hope Lodge Houston, a no-cost facility for cancer patients and their families who must travel to Houston for life-saving treatments, expected to open in spring 2020.

Over the past 22 years, the women of VICTORY, a volunteer fundraising branch of the American Cancer Society, have raised more than $16.5 million through the sale of The Holiday Shopping Card to help in the fight against cancer. In the past year, over 6,500 cancer patients have received services through American Cancer Society’s local programs and services.
