Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar today announces it is rolling out a new way for its fans to give and receive personalized egifts within seconds by using a digital platform created by Pittsburgh-based fintech startup GiftYa. Beginning October 22, 2019, Primanti Bros. fans can receive a text for $5 off toward any meal at its Pittsburgh locations.
Fans can use the $5 GiftYa by visiting http://www.giftya.com/primantibros and entering their 10-digit mobile phone number. A unique link will be texted to fans to download the GiftYa app and link the $5 Primanti Bros. GiftYa offer to their debit Visa® or Mastercard®. Primanti Bros. fans can send a gift easily from their phones without the hassle of plastic gift cards. Fans can then visit any Primanti Bros. location in Pittsburgh and pay their check using the Visa or Mastercard debit card linked to GiftYa. The $5 will be reimbursed to the diner's card.
"We're pleased to offer one more way our fans can enjoy the Primanti Bros. experience and earn rewards by visiting us," said James Prezioso, marketing manager, Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar. "And, it's exciting to work with GiftYa – another Pittsburgh-based company leading the industry as we continue to support the city and its fans who have supported us for nearly nine decades."
The GiftYa app and website enables people to text personalized gifts for any national or local merchant across the U.S., including restaurants, retailers or local spas. The app is available for Android and iOS devices.
"As GiftYa rolls out, we wanted to do our first promotion with a local icon instead of a national brand. Of course, we immediately thought of Primanti Bros.," said Jason Wolfe, CEO, GiftYa. The team at Primanti Bros. is great to work with and we are thrilled to see them helping local startups like Giftya." Wolfe is chairman of the board of the Pittsburgh Technology Council, which helps to connect technology startups in the region with local, established companies.
