Mayor Sylvester Turner today welcomed the endorsement of his campaign for re-election by labor unions across the city of Houston.

“There's nothing like a political campaign to show who your true friends are,” said Mayor Turner. “I am very grateful to the members of the 17 labor unions that have endorsed me. These men and women are family to me. We have fought in the trenches for three decades to improve workplace conditions, secure family-sustaining wages and benefits and make Houston and Texas a better place not only for working families, but for all people.”
