New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has seen his profile rise significantly during the Coronavirus crisis and now the 62-year old is being backed to replace Donald Trump as President of the United States of America.

The popular lawyer and author is being backed to go all the way and move into the White House with the odds on the Democratic party member cut into 28/1 from 40/1 to become the new President.

Donald Trump however retains a comfortable lead in the betting for another four years at 10/11 with his closest rival Joe Biden, who was recently endorsed by former President Barack Obama, the 11/10 second favourite.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “We’ve taken some speculative bets at 40/1 on Andrew Cuomo replacing Donald Trump so we’ve been forced to make him 28/1. There was also money for the New York Governor last month to win the Democratic Nominee race with those odds plummeting into 20/1 from 100/1 so we will be keeping a close eye on the lawyer and any further support.”
