Mayor Sylvester Turner, City of Houston, Councilman Robert Gallegos with Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Senior Member of the Homeland Security Committee and UMMC will officially announce the launch of the sixth UMMC COVID-19 drive through testing site. The United States has 887,787 reported cases and 50,177 deaths and Harris County has 5,211 reported cases and 561 deaths from coronavirus as of Thursday, April 23, 2020. This is part of the planned effort to create massive testing in Houston to stop community spread.
