Author Lee Ann Sifuentes enters the world of publishing with the release of “Tiffany” (published by Xlibris), a book about a young girl who remains passionate and energetic despite of her condition.

“Tiffany is on the autism spectrum,” the author shares. “It’s hard to explain to children her age why she’s not talking or playing with them. I try to tell them she’s not ignoring them. She listens and understands. She’s just unable to communicate. There aren’t many books out there that explain children with disabilities. I want children to know that Tiffany likes everything they like. She just has a hard time expressing it.”

“Tiffany” is a poetry book as well as a children’s book. In colorful photographs, readers get a glimpse of Tiffany’s favorite things to do such as swimming, jumping and swinging. The book reveals her passion of the world around her and allows other kids to see how much in common they really have. It teaches the value of kindness and living life despite the odds.

Autism or Autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as defined by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is a developmental disability that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges. It is a developmental disorder of variable severity that is characterized by difficulty in social interaction and communication and by restricted or repetitive patterns of thought and behavior.
