On Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., philanthropic animal lovers will gather at the Hotel Zaza in Houston’s Museum District for the 7th annual Wags and Whiskers, formerly the Best Friends Brunch, benefiting Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston’s Animeals program. The “On Broadway” themed event will feature a pet fashion show, silent auction, and more!

This year’s brunch is hosted in honor of longtime Interfaith Ministries and Animeals supporters Fred G. Marshall and in memory of his wife Linda Marshall. Brunch Chair M.A. Shute along with Honorary Chair Don A. Sanders will host this year’s event with their fashion forward furry friends.

Animeals was started over ten years ago when Interfaith Ministries’ Meals on Wheels drivers discovered that seniors were sharing their food with their beloved pets. Today, Animeals provides free pet food, toys, and preventative vet care for more than 1,300 dogs and cats.

Casey Curry will emcee the fun and feisty event, and guests will enjoy a champagne reception and silent auction before the program begins. More than 200 guests are expected to join underwriters Fred G. Marshall, Don A. Sanders, M.A. Shute, and Sysco alongside Interfaith Ministries board members and executives.
