At their Monday, July 6 Virtual Regular Meeting, Councilmembers authorized the execution of a professional services contract for the design of the Parks Department maintenance facility; authorized the negotiation and execution of a contract for the remodeling of Fire Station No. 3 and No. 4.; approved a resolution finding a public purpose and ratifying certain donations related to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) disaster. Presentations and Recognitions:
· Mayor Yolanda Ford administered the oath of office to certain members of the City’s boards, committees, and commissions.
· Proclaimed the month of July as “Parks and Recreation Month” in the City of Missouri City, Texas.

Staff Reports:
· Missouri City Police Department Chief Mike Berezin presented the Police Department’s Annual Report.
Consent Agenda:
· Approved the minutes of the special and regular City Council meetings of June 15, and the special City Council meetings of June 22, June 23, and June 24.
Authorizations:
· Authorized the execution of a professional services contract for the design of the Parks Department maintenance facility.
· Authorized the negotiation and execution of a contract for the remodeling of Fire Station No. 3 and No. 4.
· Authorized a change order for vehicle equipment.
· Authorized a change order for sidewalk construction and repair.
· Withdrew authorization for the city attorney, or her designee, to initiate civil proceedings for the enforcement of city ordinances at 12646 Grove Park Drive and 12622 Grove Park Drive.
· Authorized the city attorney, or her designee, to initiate civil proceedings for the enforcement of city ordinances at 4402 Ringrose Drive.
Ordinances:
· Approved an ordinance amending the personnel policy of the City of Missouri City by establishing a notification process for employment claims against City Council’s appointed officials, establishing a time limit for reporting potential paycheck errors for city employees, and requiring notification to the human resources department for certain employee absences.
· Approved an ordinance amending Chapter 62, Municipal Court, of the Missouri City Code; deleting provisions regarding certain municipal court fees.
Resolutions:
· Approved a resolution finding a public purpose and ratifying certain donations related to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) disaster.
