Susan Rice has already spent plenty of time in the White House being Barack Obama’s former national security advisor but she could be heading back there as her odds on becoming the next Vice President shrunk further on Saturday morning.
The former United States Ambassador to the United Nations is now the shortest price she has ever been to replace Mike Pence with her odds tumbling into 10/3 from 5/1 following an increase in support.
Kamala Harris has been the favourite since the market was introduced by BoyleSports, but the former Attorney General of California has been eased out to 11/10 from 4/5 to be the vice-presidential candidate to run alongside Joe Biden.
Tammy Duckworth burst into contention to be the Vice-Presidential candidate for the Democrats last week as the junior United States Senator for Illinois was hammered into 9/1 from 33/1. Further bets arrived during the week and Tammy is now 11/2.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “We have seen a large amount of support for Susan Rice to be the Vice-Presidential candidate to run alongside Joe Biden for the White House later this year. Rice is now 10/3 from 5/1 but was as big as 25/1 last month. Kamala Harris has been the favourite for months and although she still has the lead, her odds have been eased to 11/10 from 4/5.”
