Texas A&M System Regents to Consider Creating $100 Million Scholarship Fund

The Texas A&M University System’s Board of Regents will consider creating a $100 million scholarship fund during a special telephonic meeting on Monday.
The board will convene at 10 a.m. and immediately go into executive session.
Upon the board’s return to the public meeting, the agenda includes consideration and action on the following item:
Approval of The Texas A&M University System’s $100 million scholarship program to assist System Academic Institutions reflect the demographics of the state of Texas
The scholarship program is to address diversity issues as well as concerns of students who are first-generation and/or from low-income families in the wake of economic uncertainty associated with COVID-19.
