Republican officials throughout the United States of America are betting on Donald Trump to win a second term but the polls, along with the betting, are strongly siding with former Vice President Joe Biden.
Democratic presidential front-runner Joe Biden saw his odds crash into 10/11 from 11/10 last week to become the next President, meaning he became the new favourite and took over from Donald Trump at the head of the betting for the first time in over three years.
Those odds have taken a further tumble as Biden is now just 8/11 to move into the White House while Trump has been eased out to 5/4 from 6/5, the biggest price he has ever been for another four years.
BoyleSports have seen plenty of interest in Donald Trump running for presidency in 2024 should he lose to expected rival Joe Biden this November. Those chances are now 10/1 from 16/1.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Republican officials are confident that Donald Trump will win a second term as the US President but judging by the level of support we have seen for Joe Biden, we could be looking at a new President. Biden is just 8/11 now, gradually being trimmed from the 11/10 second favourite but he now holds all the aces. Trump has been eased further out to 5/4 and it’s hard to believe just a few months ago he was the 8/11 favourite.”
