Comcast Houston Is Looking for Hispanic Heroes

Style Magazine Newswire | 6/17/2020, 11:26 a.m.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Comcast will soon host its fifth annual Hispanic Hero Awards to honor eight community volunteers from Houston’s Hispanic community. Our honorees will be recognized for their outstanding volunteerism, mentorship, advocacy and/or civic engagement.

Due to the national COVID-19 pandemic that is expected to impact our city in the months ahead, we have made the difficult decision to not host our annual awards luncheon in-person. This decision was made to ensure the safety of our valued community partners and guests. Instead, we will proudly highlight each honoree’s service through rich video tributes that will be showcased across our media platforms. This year, we will invite you to view and share the videos and images that will capture the incredible stories and contributions of this year’s honorees. With this in mind, we need your help now more than ever, to nominate outstanding civic leaders and community volunteers who have made contributions to our community.

In addition to being recognized publicly, a $1,000 donation will be made to the 501(C) 3 nonprofit organization of the honoree’s choice.

As a valued community partner, I want to personally invite you to consider submitting a nomination for someone who has made a significant contribution to a non-profit agency whether it is a community volunteer, board member or dedicated staffer.

Below, you will find a link to the nomination form. All submissions are due by Tuesday, June 30, 2020, 5 p.m. (CST).

Thank you in advance for your support.
