A local student from the Houston area is among the 100 teens selected to participate in Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and ESSENCE – a four-day, immersive and transformational mentoring program kicking off at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on Thursday, March 12.

The 100 students were selected from thousands of applicants nationwide for this once-in-a-lifetime mentoring program designed to assist them in identifying and pursuing their dreams. The students, along with a parent or guardian, received all-expense-paid trips to Disney to participate in the program, which features a series of career-oriented workshops and leadership seminars.

Celebrity participants include: Steve Harvey (TV and radio personality), Keke Palmer (Co-Host of ABC’s Strahan, Sara and Keke), Marsai Martin (ABC’s black-ish), Trevor Jackson (Freeform’s grown-ish) cast members from OWN’s David Meets Man and more
