Houston First Corporation is cancelling its “Party on the Plaza” concert scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2020.

The remaining concerts in the series — April 9, 23, and May 7 — have been put on hold until further notice. This decision was reached following City of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner’s Declaration of Disaster and Public Health Emergency due to the most recent Coronavirus case of a middle-aged man who contracted the virus with no international travel.

While we were very much looking forward to hosting this event, the health and safety of our residents and visitors are of utmost importance to us, and Houston First Corporation will support our mayor and public health officials and adhere to all recommendations and instructions given.

As the city’s destination management organization, we are committed to keeping our community stakeholders, partners, and clients informed. Moving forward, we will continue to monitor and assess the situation for all future events.
