Using her artistic capabilities and vivid imaginations, Paula A. MacLeod fulfills her lifelong dream of being an author as she releases the adult coloring book, “In My Mind's Eye Inkings” (published by Xlibris).

For her first shot in the publishing scene, MacLeod used her skills in freehand drawing to create images meant to be colored. The series of images are individually hand-drawn without the use of mechanical devices such as rulers or compasses. These drawings can be colored using available materials such as gel pens, crayons, colored pencils or markers, and are suitable for framing.

According to www.forbes.com, in 2015, adult coloring books were the “dark horse” of the publishing industry, as the unexpected surge in sales contributed to the boom of major players' revenues. This particular trend encouraged MacLeod to mold this kind of book, as it “should fit nicely into the niche market.”

MacLeod hopes that her book could help adults or soon-to-be owners in relieving their stress. The book contains unique designs that could possibly aid in their relaxation.
