KIPP Texas-Houston has a free food distribution Monday – Friday from 10 am-1 pm at KIPP North, Sunnyside and Southwest campuses. While our school campuses are closed, KIPP Texas is doing everything possible to ensure individuals 19 years old and under will continue to receive the breakfast and lunch they would otherwise receive had they been at school. Almost 90 percent of our students qualify for free or reduced price lunch.

KIPP Texas Public Schools, in collaboration with the Texas Department of Agriculture, will prepare and distribute free Grab & Go meals for all individuals 19 years old and under throughout the school closure.

Because we are providing essential services in time of a crisis, our food distribution efforts are exempt from emergency declarations and the "Stay Home Work Safe" order in Houston and Harris County. KIPP Texas-Houston will continue to provide curbside Grab & Go meals as planned.

We want to assure you that KIPP Texas has safety protocols and best practices in place to keep our families and staff safe. This includes hand washing and social distancing protocols, ensuring parents are following distance processes in car lines, and having people on-site whose sole responsibility is ensuring preventative measures are maintained.
