Yesterday, NBC 5 interviewed Vice President Joe Biden on the campaign’s efforts in the Lone Star State and the rise of COVID-19 cases in Texas.

“We are connecting with millions of Texas through virtual events, phone banks, and text messages programs in Texas opened 18 supply Centers in the state where supporters can pick up signs and volunteer to distribute campaign material around here in Texas,” said Joe Biden. “We are on the air in Texas in English and in Spanish, and we are devoting an awful lot of money into Texas, and I think we not only we have a shot, but I think the Democrats are going to win back the House, we’ve got some really good candidates running as well, so I feel good about Texas.”

“There should be a federal mandate to wear masks. But I would also ask the Governor of Texas to enforce a mandate in the state. I would also make sure that we have money set in place for national testing. The goal is to test as many people in a week. Third, we have to provide the proper PPE. And fourth, we want to provide our schools and businesses with a national, detailed plan to reopen safely,” Biden added. “I am going to ask the new Congress to put a bill on my desk in January, with all of the resources necessary to see both our public health and our economic response through to the end,” he said.
