Exhibit Opening: GEAR UP: The Science of Bikes

On Tuesday, September 15, 2020, members of the media are invited to the Opening of The Health Museum’s latest exhibition GEAR UP: The Science of Bikes. Museum visitors will learn how bikes work, the history/evolution of the bike, the science and technology behind the machine, and how bikes have impacted our culture. GEAR UP: The Science of Bikes includes a diverse collection of historic, peculiar, and all-around amazing bikes as well as science stations that explore energy, forces and motion, engineering, and material science. The exhibit is organized by Carnegie Science Center (Pittsburgh) and presented by Sciencenter (Ithaca) and will be available until May 19, 2021.

General admission to The Health Museum is free for children two and under; $8 for children 3 to 12 years old and seniors 65 and above; $10 for adults; and free on Thursdays for families.
