Today Houston First Corporation (HFC), along with the Hotel Lodging Association of Greater Houston, brought the city’s hospitality industry together to host the first meeting in a series called “Destination Strategies & Insights.” These meetings will provide hoteliers and stakeholders a platform for open discussion to strengthen communication within the industry.

At today’s inaugural event, Mayor Sylvester Turner provided remarks about the city’s progress despite extreme challenges brought on by the pandemic. HFC Acting President & CEO, Michael Heckman along with his leadership team, offered industry updates, highlights of the organization's key initiatives and campaigns to promote the city, currently booked meetings and conferences, and hotel occupancy analysis.
