KIPP Texas-Houston partners with the Houston Food Bank to host Recovery Fairs Friday, February 26 for KIPP families affected by Winter Storm Uri

In the week since Winter Storm Uri wreaked havoc across the state, students and their families have dealt with many challenges: freezing temperatures, power outages, water shortages, and post-storm cleanup and repairs.
From detailed questionnaires sent to all KIPP Texas students and staff, it is clear that the snow and ice may have melted, but the memories and damage – from Uri, and in some cases, Hurricane Harvey – still remain.
In partnership with the Houston Food Bank, KIPPTexasCares will host Recovery Fairs Friday, February 26, 9:30 am - 11 a.m. KIPP Texas families and neighbors affected by Winter Storm Uri are welcome to attend.
