Are you thinking about doing away with panties this summer?

Some of us may think that this question is still up for debate, but scientifically there are real health benefits to both wearing and not wearing panties during the warmer months.

Need to settle the debate once and for all? Here’s the rundown:

Avoid Chafing

Wearing panties is more comfortable than not wearing them.

Avoid chafing by wearing panties made from soft fabrics and steering clear of those lacey, rough fabrics that tend to rub against the creases of your private parts, which can result in irritation.

Keep Away Bacteria

Cotton underwear is best since it’s a natural fiber, affordable, readily available, absorbent, and protective while allowing your vagina to breathe.

Going commando allows dust, lint, and other floating particles to easily get trapped, leading to irritation or infection.

Air Flows Freely Without Panties in the Summer

One of the problems with underwear, especially the kind made of synthetic fabrics, is that it prevents air from flowing.

That’s not good. The most important thing about an undergarment is circulation. So, go for cotton or nothing at all.

Nightime Rejuvenation

Can’t fathom not wearing panties during the day?

At least, consider going commando at night.

Experts say that letting your vagina breathe at night helps avoid and even clear up infections as bacteria can collect in that part of the body, especially if it becomes too sweaty.

Bad Bacteria Less Likely to Migrate Without Panties in the Summer

Did you know thongs actually aid in the bacterial transfer from the anal area into the vaginal area?

Yes, even after you’ve showered.

So, if you’re worried about visual panty lines, going commando may be your best bet.

Less Friction During Workouts

If you’re a gym rat, you already know that underwear traps sweat and moisture on any given day.

Put that with a 60-minute workout and you’ve got a problem down there.

The combination of heat, sweat, and friction is not only uncomfortable, but it can be unhealthy. It may be best to nix the panties on this one!

Improved Summer Sex Life without Panties

Some people actually get a kick out of going panty-less.

According to experts, not only does it increase sensations throughout the day, but the idea is kind of fun for your partner, too.

Comfort

Last, but certainly not least.

Some people actually get a kick out of going panty-less.

According to experts, not only does it increase sensations throughout the day, but the idea is kind of fun for your partner, too.

For those of us with a little bit more junk in the trunk, underwear has the annoying tendency to bunch up, turn into wedgies, and get tight along the seams.

If this alone doesn’t make you want to nix them, then I don’t know what will!
