AIDS Foundation Houston, Inc. (AFH) will host their annual World AIDS Day event as a Virtual Experience on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Emceed live by Houston Public Media’s Ernie Manouse, the fundraiser will support AFH in its mission to end the HIV epidemic in the greater Houston area and will showcase its vision of a community where HIV is stigma-free and rare, and people have equitable access to care.

Tickets to access the virtual event start at $10. For those interested in an in-person viewing experience, AFH will host a VIP watch party at BeDesign (2016 W Alabama St, 77098). From 6 to 8 PM, VIP guests can enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres and get a front row seat to live remarks and performances. Tickets for the watch party are available at the Host Committee level ($500 for a pair of tickets) and for all underwriters.

This year’s World AIDS Day commemoration will feature remarks from Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, Judge Lina Hidalgo, and more. Event programming also includes a livestream with remarks from AFH board members and staff, client testimonials, performances, and more. Shelby Hodge will present the 2021 Shelby Hodge Vision Award to honoree Paul Kawata, Executive Director of the National Minority AIDS Council.
