The Texas Renaissance Festival has concluded its 47th season of delightful food, entertainment and 16th century magic. Nestled in the small town of Todd Mission, Texas, the festival opened its gates to 472,148 patrons, celebrating eight exciting weekends from Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 – Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021.

“This season was spectacular,” said Jeff Baldwin, General Manager of the Texas Renaissance Festival. “Everyone that visited was in good spirits and playful with our performers and characters. It was great to see everyone having fun and forgetting their worries for at least one day.”

The Texas Renaissance Festival continued with highly anticipated interactive experiences such as wine tastings at Odin’s Table, four exciting Escape Room challenges, royal scotch and royal bourbon & rum tastings, Tea and Strumpets (High Tea) and an epic Quest of the Holy Fail pub crusade. From the newest vendor’s French tacos to the classic turkey legs, the festival seamlessly immersed new food and enchantment with traditional 16th century splendor for yet another whimsical year. Throughout the festival, each weekend was brought to life with a different theme across the kingdom’s 70-acres of New Market Village including Oktoberfest, 1001 Dreams, Pirate Adventure, All Hallows Eve, Heroes and Villains, Barbarian Invasion, Highland Fling and Celtic Christmas.

Among 16th century weddings, unique shoppes and colorful 5k runs, the kingdom also welcomed back the popular Wyrmwood Public House for those 21 and older, where the worlds of French bohemia and burlesque collided. As the festival’s first multi-sensory entertainment and social experience, Wyrmwood featured authentic craft cocktails and offered festivalgoers the chance to indulge in an absinthe or tequila tasting party or share a drink with the internationally acclaimed performers of The Green Hour.
