Fort Bend County Allocates over $2 Million to Extend Childcare Voucher Program
Allows qualifying Fort Bend County families to receive up to three vouchers per family

On Wednesday, October 6, at 12:30 p.m., Fort Bend County Judge KP George will hold a press conference to announce the extension of the County’s Childcare Voucher program.
The initial phase of the Childcare Voucher program last March allotted $250,000 to help support Fort Bend County families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The extended program will utilize over $2 million in CARES Act funding to provide childcare assistance to Fort Bend County residents facing financial hardship as a result of COVID 19.
Eligible families will receive vouchers of up to $500 per child for up to three children that can then be used at licensed childcare facilities in Fort Bend County.
