Janet Jackson fans will get the opportunity to reflect and celebrate the 40th anniversary of her debut album, "Janet" from 1982, with a two-part documentary, "Janet," to air on Lifetime in January 2022.

The documentary will take viewers through an intimate look at the entertainer's life from birth to present showing never-before-seen footage, home videos, and more. Jackson recently released a teaser of the project. Fellow entertainers Mariah Carey and Paula Abdul speak about their connection as well as members of Jackson's family offer commentary.

"This is my story told by me, not through someone else’s eyes,” Jackson says.

She even hits on the most talked about wardrobe malfunction performance at the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show with Justin Timberlake. Jackson then brings fans with her to present day as a mother.
