Comcast Recognizes Hispanic Community Volunteers

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Comcast will recognize eight community volunteers as part of our sixth annual Hispanic Hero Awards.
The Hispanic Hero Awards presented by Comcast recognizes individuals who have driven significant positive change in their communities and, at the same time, celebrate the diversity of the city. This year's honorees are truly Houston's finest and have made a difference for so many.

2021 Hispanic Hero Award Honorees and Nominating Organizations
Frances Casteñeda Dyess of the Houston East End Chamber of Commerce and YMCA of Greater Houston
Elia Chino of the FLAS, Inc., Fundación Latinoamericana De Acción Social, Inc.
Sonia Corrales of the Houston Area Women's Center
James Guzman of The Salvation Army of Greater Houston
Ricardo Nazario of the Crime Stoppers of Houston
Marisol Salazar of the Small Steps Nurturing Center
Juliet Stipeche of the Houston Gulf Coast Bldg. and Const. Trades Council
Saul Valentin of the AVANCE-Houston
Honorees were nominated by organizations throughout the city and will be celebrated through rich video tributes throughout Hispanic Heritage Month on Comcast social channels. Comcast will also donate $1,000 to the nonprofit organization of each honoree's choice.
