On Tuesday, September 28, at 9:30 a.m., Fort Bend County in conjunction with our community partners will hold a press conference to celebrate National Voter Registration Day.

The press event will focus on efforts to increase voter registration, voter education related to the voting and election process, and updated information about acceptable voter identification requirements.

“I can’t stress to people how important it is to our democracy to exercise your right to vote especially at such a crucial time in our country and our government when the very act of voting could be in jeopardy,” said Judge George. “It is important that we educate our young people and reach out to our unregistered voters to encourage them to be active and effective citizens in our democracy.”
