Phyllis Burton is the CEO and Founder of the V.O. Burton Foundation Inc. This nonprofit organization was created in honor of her late father Varn O. Burton. He managed over seven apartment complexes in the Trinity Gardens community. During his tenure he relentlessly gave back to the community and was an agent of change. He would visit tenants that transitioned to nursing homes and bring them needed items and a home cooked meal that he prepared himself. The V.O. Burton Foundation Inc is hosting Its first event where it all began.

The Trinity Garden Give Back Event will be held March 26th 11am-1pm at North Houston Church of Christ 8203 Jensen Dr. Houston,TX 77093. Material goods will be donated to families that are in need. Hot meals will be provided. All families that receive donations will be entered in a drawing for a grand prize...a new TV. V.O. Burton Foundation mission is to build a better tomorrow, today.

About Phyllis Burton, she is the CEO and Founder of the V.O. Burton Foundation Inc., Executive Director for Sock out Poverty Inc., and a Registered Nurse. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration. She is a pillar of the community through her service to others. Her innovative approach and leadership, lead her to strategically secure financial funding and donations from national businesses including Walmart, Sam’s Club, and The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation. Ms. Burton has brought global awareness surrounding the needs of the homeless and low social economic communities through national media and outreach programs.
