The East End Improvement Corporation (501c3) and the East End Houston Cultural District proudly invite the Houston community to the 2022 East End Street Fest on Saturday, May 7, from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm on the award-winning Esplanade on Navigation Boulevard. Admission is free.

Visitors and art fanatics will be able to enjoy Cinco de Mayo weekend with a mix of Mexican and Chicano art, music, food, and culture. The East End Street Fest will include more than twenty food and art vendors as well as various music and dance performances in different areas and plazas. The City of Houston Cultura Stage Presented by Port Houston will feature local musicians, including Sister Sister, Zenteno Spirit, Roberto Rodriguez III, and headliner, Grupo Vital. Plaza de Luchadores and Plaza de Piñata will showcase folkloric dances from different areas of Mexico performed by Ballet Folklorico Herencia Mexicana de Houston and Ballet Folklorico de Solei. Car lovers will enjoy the show and shine lowrider collection at the Chicano Boulevard, and kids will bounce around at the Plaza de los Niños.

Since 2012, Hispanic music, food, art, and culture have been celebrated at the annual East End Street Fest. Thousands have gathered with friends and family to dance and enjoy the rhythms of this historic community.

“This year, we’re bringing this unique event back to our community,” said Veronica Chapa Gorczynski, the East End District president. “We want people from all over Houston to visit and experience the cultural richness and local businesses of East End Houston. This event is where friends and family of all ages will enjoy in a safe environment the music, food, and art of our Mexican heritage during Cinco de Mayo weekend.” She added.

The full lineup and times of stage performances are available on the event website, www.eastendstreetfest.com.
