As part of a major program that promotes mutual respect and builds positive relationships between police and local neighborhoods, First Responders Children Foundation will be contributing truckloads of toys to first responder agencies for distribution during National Night Out Against Crime events on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships to help make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. One of the most important elements of National Night Out is that police and residents meet and greet under positive circumstances. The friendships they form in good times will help them be a more united community during challenging circumstances.

The Foundation is delivering thousands of toys to 25 National Night Out Against Crime locations in New York’s five boroughs in partnership with the NYPD.

Jillian Crane, President and CEO of First Responders Children’s Foundation said, “We are proud that our Power of Play toy program is a great fit for National Night Out events across the country. Toys provide great comfort for children during difficult times, and it’s been a challenging time for all children. We hope these toys bring some joy and healing to communities. And we look forward to partnering with the NYPD and other police departments as they build positive relationships with the communities they serve.”

In addition to providing toys to National Night Out events, First Responders Children’s Foundation is Inviting First Responders and their families to a FREE Movie Night on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 8 p.m. at 10120 Reseda Blvd Northridge, CA 91324 (Get there early! Bring a blanket, lawn chairs & picnic).
