Fort Bend County Update On Weather Conditions

Severe storms, producing damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall moved through portions of Fort Bend County this evening.

Severe storms, producing damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall moved through portions of Fort Bend County this evening.

Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management is working with area jurisdictions to assess the damage and assist residents who are impacted in the area. At this time, there are no known fatalities or injuries.

Reports of lightning and power outages have been reported. However, there are currently no active calls. Several areas have reported trees down and debris in the roadway creating dangerous travel conditions. Residents are being asked to exercise caution throughout the night as current conditions can result in flash flooding or high water on roadways.

Fort Bend County residents are asked to report downed lines or trees blocking roadways, to Dispatch at 281-341-4665.
