Mayor Turner, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia, Congressman Green, and business leaders will hold a news conference to discuss the $21 million federal grant awarded to the City of Houston for the city's Telephone Road project.

The federal funds are part of the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant program that was made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

The Mayor will be joined by: Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia, TX-29, Congressman Al Green, TX-09 (virtual), State Senator Carol Alvarado, District 6, Councilmember Robert Gallegos, District I, David Fields, Chief Transportation Planner for the City of Houston, Representatives from Houston Public Works, Sonny Garza from Gulfgate Redevelopment Authority/TIRZ 8, Representative from TIRZ 23 (Harrisburg), Frances Castañeda Dyess, President of East End Chamber of Commerce, and Veronica Chapa Gorczynski, President of East End District.
