Fall programs for all venues are on sale NOW, with tickets available for your local Rooftop Cinema Club venue through October 31 🙌🍿 They have screenings for Hispanic Heritage Month, our Virgo, Libra and Scorpio Zodiac collections, and of course a MASSIVE lineup of Halloween frights and delights all October long 👻 Heads up, Chicago & New York 🚨 These are the final programs of the year for Rooftop Cinema Club Fulton Market and Rooftop Cinema Club Midtown, so last chance to get in Rooftop movie nights in 2022 👏

Rooftop Cinema Club today offers a first look at its fall movie lineup for its sky-high Uptown theatre going live online today at noon, picking right up where summer leaves off. With daytime temperatures expected to cool, the addition of earlier screenings open to all ages make their return every Saturday and Sunday in September and October. The new schedule runs from Sept. 7 through Oct. 31 and is available online at rooftopcinemaclub.com/uptown for the 1700 Post Oak Blvd. venue and its awe-inspiring views of the Houston skyline.

Ahead of the fall program kicking off, Rooftop Cinema Club Uptown will pay tribute to the late and great Olivia Newton-John with a special sing-along screening of “Grease” on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 7:30 p.m. with Rooftop donating all proceeds to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre.

In September, the venue will offer a host of themed series highlighted by the return of its all-ages screenings as well as its Hispanic Heritage Month programming where fans can enjoy some of the most beloved films celebrating Hispanic culture and made by prominent Hispanic filmmakers and actors. Also in September…

• Love It or Hate It series – Saturdays in September will shine a spotlight on some of cinema's most divisive movies. We're playing comedies that critics just didn't get, an ambitious, visionary feast that's "not for everyone," and just a plain ol' good time at the movies that some scoffed at like “White Chicks,” “La La Land,” and more.

• People’s Choice: Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman – This month fans will choose which female coming-of-age movie to screen at the Rooftop. In this aptly named "Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" edition of People's Choice, vote for the movie you'd like to see here! Voting closes Aug. 31 and the winning film will be announced Sept. 1.

• Virgo/Libra/Scorpio Season – Rooftop has a new tradition centered around the signs of the Zodiac. From Aug. 23 through Sept. 22, the venue celebrates Virgo season by screening movies made by or starring popular Virgos like Keanu Reeves, Beyoncé and Jada Pinkett Smith. From Sept. 23 through Oct. 22, the venue celebrates Libra Season with Libra-starring films including the likes of Zac Efron, Anthony Gonzalez, Susan Sarandon and more. From Oct. 23 through Nov. 22, Scorpio Season takes the spotlight by screening movies with Winona Ryder, Jamie Lee Curtis, and others.

October is the start of Rooftop Cinema Club’s favorite holiday of the year – Halloween. Fans will be treated to an eclectic mix of spooky favorites, film anniversaries, and fun events. Here’s what to look forward to throughout the month leading up to an epic Halloween weekend…

People’s Choice: Best Horror Sequel – This October fans will vote which horror movie sequel to screen at the Rooftop! Vote for the scary sequel you'd like to see here! Voting closes Oct. 6 and the winning film will be announced Oct. 7.

Witches Weekender – "Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble." For the penultimate weekend in October, Rooftop is mixing a potion together of movies that feature the most fun, scary, and awesome witches!

Hocus Pocus Madness - "Come, we fly!" Over the years watching “Hocus Pocus” on during the Halloween season has become a tradition for our fans, including us here at Rooftop. We thought we'd take that tradition a bit further this year by dedicating a whole day to screenings of the modern classic. So come for a screening or watch it again and again all day long!

Halloween – We're providing a double dose of Halloween classics (it's literally in their titles!) with screenings of the family favorite “Halloweentown” and the chilling slasher “Halloween” (1978) this Oct. 31 at the Rooftop!

I Know What You Did Last Summer 25th Anniversary – "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?" It's been 25 years since “I Know What You Did Last Summer “cemented itself among the best '90s slasher hits. Housing a quartet of almost and soon-to-be young stars, this scary tale of revenge hasn't lost any of its potency since it hit screens all those years ago. Enjoy it all over again Oct. 12 at 9:45 p.m.

The Ring 20th Anniversary – "Before you die, you see… the ring." The terrifying psychological horror movie that made us all scared to watch VHS tapes (if you remember what those were) is turning 20 this year. We're celebrating “The Ring” in all its scary glory with a special anniversary screening at the Rooftop!
