In honor of National Women’s Equality Day, the Multicultural Women Executive Leadership Foundation in partnership with the Dr. Yasmin Davidds Leadership Institute is proud to announce over $100,000 in available scholarships for qualified Multicultural Women Executive Leadership Program (MWELP) candidates who are self-funding.

The program brings together women meeting at the intersection of succeeding in executive leadership positions and addressing the unique barriers they face in growing as multicultural women leaders. To give women the opportunity to join the program to grow both professionally and personally, the program’s extraordinary partners have generously granted the Foundation to provide over $100,000 in scholarship opportunities for qualified MWELP participants. Recognizing the commitment the program partners have to the evolvement and transformation of women leaders and their impact on the world, the CEO and Founder, Dr. Yasmin Davidds, said,

“I’m tremendously grateful to our program partners who have assisted in making this generous scholarship fund accessible to candidates who would otherwise be unable to participate. This program was built to support women from various backgrounds, and these scholarships ensure that eligible women, no matter their financial situation, culture, or location can participate. Since the pandemic and going virtual, we have had over 100 fellows who represent over 30 countries graduate from our program. This is a special moment to reflect in gratitude and look to an even better future.”

Traditionally, the Multicultural Women Executive Leadership Foundation in partnership with the Dr. Yasmin Davidds Leadership Institute, USC Marshall School of Business, and the USC Latino Alumni Association holds an annual scholarship and awards gala to celebrate the program’s partners, honorees, and graduates. Although the event had to be put on pause for the past two years due to the pandemic, the entire leadership team, partners, and Dr. Yasmin Davidds are thrilled to share that they will be resuming the gala this year on November 15, 2022.

Their upcoming 9th Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala, “Better Human Better Leader”, promises to be an unforgettable evening as they commemorate all the 2020-2022 graduates from the Multicultural Executive, Entrepreneur, and Millennial Programs. Dr. Sophie Zhuang, Director at MUFG, and a 2022 MWELP graduate who received special recognition for her leadership advocacy shared her thoughts about the program:

"It is my great honor and pleasure to recommend the Multicultural Women Executive Leadership Program. The lecturers include renowned legislators, professors/researchers, executives, and other female leaders from diverse backgrounds who are very inspiring and insightful. Furthermore, the program helped me build close connections among participants and advisors, greatly promoting open communications and networking. I would recommend it to aspiring female colleagues looking for leadership coaching and training opportunities, both professionally and personally."

As the deadline for the 2022 Fall MWELP session is quickly approaching, qualified candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to take advantage of these scholarship opportunities. All spots in the program are expected to be filled by September 20, 2022.
