Fort Bend County Update on Current Conditions During Countywide Burn Ban

Fort Bend County will remain under a Burn Ban Order due to the current drought conditions that persist. At this time, the county is not under a fireworks ban for the use or regulation of fireworks this Fourth of July holiday weekend.

There are 79 permitted firework stands open in the unincorporated areas of the county that are selling fireworks, as well as, ten fireworks shows in the unincorporated areas of the county this weekend. (Please see the map at the link below that indicates where the shows are located). This does not include any city locations.

“I ask that our residents exercise caution, adhere to the burn ban we have in place, and use common sense safety protocols while celebrating over the holiday weekend,” said Judge KP George.

The Burn Ban Order is expected to stay in place until drought conditions no longer exist.
