Mostyn Law Awards $5,000 On Father's Day to Deserving Houston Dads

5K for Father’s Day Giveaway with Majic 102.1 honored five local fathers with $1,000 each

On the heels of Mostyn Law’s second 5K for Mother’s Day giveaway in May, Mostyn Law and 1800 TRUCKWRECK gifted five Houston area fathers with $1,000 checks. During a month-long registration period, over 700 local fathers were nominated by Majic 102 listeners for consideration by a review panel.

“Dads can get a bad rap because moms do so much, but most dads fill a special place in our lives” observes Amber Mostyn, co-founder of Mostyn Law. “So, for a second year, we’re excited to spotlight dynamite dads in Houston who are dedicated to their families. Our list of fabulous fathers this year is another great testament to the those who are working to make our communities stronger and safer for everybody.”

As has become her custom, Amber Mostyn personally connected with all five of the winners, working with their families to surprise three of them at their favorite restaurants, another at his place of work, and still another via Zoom.

Mostyn, a widowed mother of two, considers these face-to-face encounters an essential part of her firm’s community outreach. “Meeting these fathers, after hearing the stories their families shared with us, fills me with gratitude for parents everywhere. Children need love and guidance from the adults in their lives, so these stories give us hope for our future.”
