The Puranik Foundation, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Houston, is accepting applications for yoga teachers currently working towards their 200/300-hour teacher training for its no-cost program, Classroom Clarity.
The Classroom Clarity program introduces high school students to mindfulness techniques and ways to cope with the ever-changing world. The Puranik Foundation has partnered with the Yoga Alliance to launch mindfulness clubs at five Houston area high schools during the following school year.
With anxiety and depression levels at an all-time high, the yoga teacher volunteers will coach students and give them the opportunity to explore yoga and meditation. While students receive clarity in the classroom, Puranik Foundation will invite 10 participating yoga teachers to teach in class once a week, attend an event or excursion once a month, and a weekend Austin retreat.
For yoga teachers, the position is volunteer-based, and they will be granted training hours towards their certification.
The Puranik Foundation is dedicated to providing educational opportunities that open minds, stimulate holistic perspectives, and inspire transformation. Yoga teacher trainees interested in participating in Classroom Clarity program should apply by Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
