Last year, Council Member Thomas held a heavily attended town hall where residents in District F had the chance to speak with Houston Police Chief Troy Finner about public safety issues in their neighborhoods. This year, community members have an expanded opportunity to engage once again with Chief Finner, along with other city, county, and judicial agencies and departments that support public safety.
Considering the recent Robb Elementary tragedy and several public shootings taking place in Houston, including a possible deadly road rage incident near an Alief ISD facility, the councilwoman feels it is important to address rising concerns regarding active shooter violence.
