United Airlines, TSU to announce major partnership

Officials from United Airlines will visit Texas Southern University on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, to announce a partnership with the university. The partnership includes a significant, six-figure scholarship program and ongoing mentorship activities between United employees and students in TSU’s Aviation Science and Technology program, including the Professional Pilot concentration.

There will be a photo opportunity with TSU President Dr. Lesia Crumpton-Young and United Houston Hub Vice President Phil Griffith in the President’s Lounge (4th floor) in the Sterling Student Center during a check presentation, followed by additional photo opportunities when participants tour TSU’s Aviation Science program in the Spearman Technology Building.
