Mostyn Law’s HeartBEAT of the Campus Awards has recognized fifteen Houston-area students for their successes on campus and in the community, providing each with a $1,000 check in support of their further studies.

The students were feted at a special reception, hosted by Mostyn Law co-founder Amber Mostyn in the law firm’s Galleria-area offices. As their families, friends, and teachers looked on, Ms. Mostyn and Ashlee Young, midday host on Houston’s 93.7 FM The Beat (KQBT-FM), presented each student with a check for $1,000.

“Reading the nominations and learning about the accomplishments of these students was extremely inspirational and heartwarming for me and my team, “says Mostyn. “But the real thrill was actually meeting them and hearing their hopes and dreams in their own words.”

Through an on-air campaign on 93.7 The Beat, the law firm solicited nominations from listeners before a Mostyn Law review committee made the final selections. Then, for fifteen days in March, one winner per day enjoyed the spotlight during an on-air salute from Ashlee during her show.

“In the last 12 months, Mostyn Law has had the privilege of rewarding moms, dads, educators, and first responders,” observes Mostyn. “This campaign was unique in that it connected us with young students (and some not so you!) at an important, first stage of their lives and careers. We wanted to recognize what they’ve achieved so far and help them envision their future success. There might even be some future lawyers in this group! Definitely some entrepreneurs. And I think they were fascinated to hear from each other as well.”
