The 2022 Lexus LC 500 was named the Performance Vehicle of Texas by the Texas Auto Writers Association’s (TAWA) at the 2022 Texas Auto Roundup held recently in Fort Worth, Texas. The LC 500 also won the highest mark in the luxury car category and was recognized for best exterior at the signature spring driving event. The 2022 Lexus NX 450h+ won the highest mark in the Luxury CUV category and the 2022 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 in the Performance Coupe category.

Since its inception, the LC 500 family has represented a harmonious blend of emotional design and top tier driving performance. Journalists at the event experienced the LC 500 Coupe and the LC 500 Convertible accelerating from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds with a V8-powered transmission that produces 471 horsepower. The 2022 LC 500 has updated suspension enhancements and performance upgrades, and in addition to its elite athleticism, the vehicle represents the most passionate expression of the Lexus brand in terms of design, deservedly earning the best exterior award at the event.
Ushering in a new era of luxury, the 2022 Lexus NX 450h+ embraces electrification, intuitive technology, performance, and design. The NX 450h+ has a manufacturer-estimated 36-mile range on electric power only mode, made possible by the newly developed high-capacity lithium-ion battery. The system achieves the EV output equivalent to a 2.0-liter engine. When combined with the newly developed hybrid transaxle, a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine delivers on the performance luxury guests are seeking with an estimated 6.0 second 0-60 time.
Toyota’s dynamic 2022 GR Supra 3.0 Premium was honored with the highest mark in the performance coupe category. The GR Supra 3.0 impressed auto roundup attendees with its powerful 3.0-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine and comprehensive safety features. The 2022 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 features an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This latest generation keeps Supra finding ways to blend speed, power, and style.
