Prospective students for the upcoming Fall 2022 semester at Texas Southern University are encouraged to complete their application process and, upon acceptance, register for one of several New Student Orientation sessions that will be held on campus throughout the summer.

For students who have yet to apply for admission, the first step is to visit tsu.edu/admissions and begin the application process. For the Fall 2022 semester, the University has waived the SAT and ACT score requirements for freshman applicants who have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

For students who have already completed the admissions process and been admitted to the University for Fall 2022, the next steps are to confirm attendance (www.tsu.edu/confirm) and sign up for a New Student Orientation session. Admitted students must also submit meningitis vaccination (https://tsu.medicatconnect.com, for students under the age of 22 or who plan to live on campus), and complete campus housing and meal plan applications (www.tsu.edu/housing, if planning to live on campus). Admitted students must also either take the TSI Assessment Exam or submit scores to verify exemption (visit www.tsu.edu/tsi for more information).

“This is a great time to attend Texas Southern University and become a Tiger,” said Dr. DeNeia Thomas, Vice President of Enrollment and Student Success. “Not only do we have a comprehensive academic support system designed to help all students be successful, but TSU has a rich tradition, legacy and reputation as a pioneer in higher education in Houston and throughout the world. Attending TSU is a life transforming decision.”

New Student Orientations are scheduled on campus from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on the following dates:

Tuesday, June 7

Thursday, June 9

Saturday, June 25

Tuesday, July 12

Thursday, July 14

Saturday, July 23

Tuesday, August 2

Thursday, August 4

For more information about the sessions and to register, visit bit.ly/3yTv4tn. During each session, information about enrollment, campus life, registration services, financial aid, and campus housing will be given. Students may bring one guest/parent to the session due to limited seating.
