Today, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner revealed that he is a cancer survivor during the annual "State of the City" address.

Today, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner revealed that he is a cancer survivor during the annual "State of the City" address.

He was recently diagnosed with a type of bone cancer known as osteosarcoma. It was located in his jaw. Following a nine hours of surgery this summer, he underwent radiation treatment for two months.
